Pets! :^3

Hello! I am going to tell you about pets on Animal Jam.

Pets are smaller animals that your main animal can walk around with! There are land pets, which land animals can go on, and sea pets, if you have an ocean animal. There are lots of different pets, colors, shapes and items! (I will get into those later.)

Each pet costs 400 gems.

The different land pets you can get are:

Dog

Cat

Butterfly

Hamster

Duck

Frog

Bat  (N/A)

Reindeer

The sea pets you can get are:

Anglerfish

Seahorse

You will know if your pet is limited time by looking at the bottom right hand corner.
Is there a limited sign? If there is, then, well, it's limited. :P

To start off, go to one of the pet stores or one of the mini pet stores around Jamaa! Here are the two main pet stores:

This is Flippers 'N Fins, the ocean pet store, located in Crystal Reef.

This is Paws 'N Claws, the land pet store, located in Appondale.

NOTE: Bats are not available anymore until next year.

GETTING A PET. Once you've chosen what kind of pet you want and where to find it, you need to choose how it looks!

First you can choose its colors! Color 1 is the wings and color 2 is the body

Then you can change the eyes by clicking on the picture of eyes at the top!

Then everything else your pet has, like tails and wings and fins

When you like your pet, click next!

Then name your pet and click done! Well, adopt this pet. Remember, each pet is 400 gems.

Here is the old way of getting pets.

First go to one of the pet shops. I am getting a cat! Then this will appear. Use the arrows to change symbols, which change your pet's appearance. It could make it be orange or black, have a curly tail or straight one, even change its eyes!

Use the arrows to change the symbols, and the lever to order it randomly.

Look at the 1. Circle and click on that button to find your ideal pet! If you don't like how it looks, you can change the symbols OR click 'FIND MY PET" again if you want to make a slight change, like the eyes or something. If you like it, then click the circled area where it says 'KEEP THIS PET' to keep it and move onto the next stage! Remember it costs 400 gems. Look at that kitty! I like it! :D I'm going to keep it!

Now you can get it a clothing item, which is a pet rare! There are many different kinds, some funny, others scary! Click on the 'PRESS ME' button to try to get one! See next posts for a list of pet rares. -drumroll, please-

WOW! My cat did not only get one rare, she got TWO! A witch hat and a scarf! :o

Now she needs a name. Use the arrows to scroll down and view names, and when you find one you like put it in the  Blue section of the list. You can use the lever to pick a name randomly. Then press 'OK' to finish buying your pet!

I named my new cat Greencat! :D

PET RARES

Pet rares are clothing as you know. You have a 60% chance of getting one. (Random guess) It is more likely of getting one at a mini pet shop than at a big one. Sometimes you get more than one! :D Here I will show you the rares that a pet can get.

That was the OLD way of getting pets, remember that.

THE PET STOP

The pet stop is here! It's where you can get items for your pets without spending thousands of gems and getting frustrated. Here is what it is:

It's located in Paws 'N Claws and Flippers 'N Fins

In these drawers and trunks are different things to choose from for your pet!

Ex. Reindeer and anglerfish

When you like your pet, you can buy it for 300 gems! :D


THE PET WASH
The pet wash, located at the right side of Crystal Sands, is where you can wash your pet!
(Hence the name.)


First rinse your pet down

Then choose a shampoo for your pet.

Then pull the magic lever and watch the machine work!

Then finally choose a towel for your pet and...

POOF! Your pet sparkles! (Literally!)
